“We look good, we smell good, and we have just exposed ourselves to 200 different chemicals a day through cosmetics.” …U.S. News & World Report
Our skin is our biggest organ yet a lot of us use products on our skin that are full of toxic ingredients, and we don’t think twice about it. Consider this:
As noted by U.S. News & World Report, by the time the average woman leaves her bathroom in the mornings, she's been exposed to over 200 toxins.
The Environmental Working Group has determined that the average person uses 9 personal care products daily, containing 126 chemical ingredients. The use of make-up brings the total up to 515 chemicals daily.
According to the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics:
33.8% contain carcinogens
45.9% contain reproductive toxins
78.9% contain immune system toxicants
58.8% contain hormone disrupters
I’m not trying to use scare tactics here; I’m simply sharing what I’ve learned and know to be true. Many big companies’ value profits over safety and the cosmetics industry can get away with it.
You may think you use healthy products but did you know that there’s a significant difference between toxic-free and non-toxic products? I explained the differences in this blog post, cleverly titled Toxic-Free versus Non-Toxic.
I represent a product that is pure and clean. Nature's Pearl skincare and personal care items are certified organic, certified toxic-free, certified cruelty-free, gluten-free and vegan*. They are loaded with more than 100+ live, powerful antioxidants. Our products all have the fresh, live cells from the muscadine grape seeds as one of their foundational ingredients, which powerful building blocks to help combat the ravages of aging.
Feed your skin what it is starved for. These products have 87% absorption, reaching the cellular level where corrections happen. These ingredients will literally detoxify your skin from all the chemicals left behind from other products!
Of course I’d love for you to consider Nature’s Pearl products. But if you don’t think they’re right for you, at least educate yourself on product ingredients and what they may be doing to your health. Here is a link to a list of the worst of the worst, toxic, carcinogenic ingredients commonly found in most skin and personal care products.
Cheers to your health!
