I always stumble across tips and tricks while scrolling Facebook. This one intrigued me so I had to give it a shot. I'm a fan of all sorts of uses for baking soda and have used it in home made face masks before. When I tried this simple trick I knew I'd found the best way to clean, exfoliate and soften my skin while also preventing and healing blemishes and dry patches. As simple as it is, you'll be surprised you've never thought of it before! This is definitely a budget friendly skin care option!
Put a quarter size dollop of basic shaving cream in your hand and add a spoonful of baking soda. mix them together and apply to your face. It's a thick, kind of pasty cream that spreads easily. Go ahead and put it on in a thick layer then get in the shower. After you've washed your body use your damp fingertips to massage the baking soda mixture into your face. You'll feel the baking soda gently scrubbing away dead skin, dirt and impurities. Rinse well and pat your face dry. You'll be amazed at how smooth and soft your face feels.

We all worry about our skin ageing and losing elasticity and collagen, but did you know that there are just little things you can do daily to keep the integrity of your skin? Some supplements directly benefit your skin and it has already been stated many times how integral fruits and veggies are, especially in their raw state, in improving your skin’s health. But it is also true that the correct moisturizer can help your skin get what it needs to stay healthy and glowing.
Here’s an easy reference list to obtain and maintain your best skin:
Anyone with a social media account has probably seen a variety of people from different walks of life sharing their direct sales business' products. From Origami Owl to Pampered Chef it seems we all know someone who is selling something and wants to convince us that we need their products in our lives. One that I have seen a lot of lately is Perfectly Posh. It seems they offer several products for overall skin care. When I was offered the chance to try some samples of this line, of course I jumped at the chance, because I love sharing the things I find with my readers. After all if you're just taking the word of someone who sells the products for a living what are the chances you are getting an honest review? Let me ease your mind, I do not sell Perfectly Posh, nor am I receiving any sort of compensation for this post, this is simply my opinion of some free samples I have tried.
My packet of samples included two products: The D-Tox Body Mud Stripper and Muddy Honey Healing Body Mask. While I was excited to try out these products I was a bit disappointed by the size of the samples. While both are called body products each one was only enough to try out on my face. But, I understand the nature of samples, so I'll give you my thoughts about these products based on one use.
The Stripper is a mud colored goo that smells good. It goes on rather like a lotion, with a creamy texture and cooling feel. Within a moment or two I could feel the tingle as (I assume) it began to work. I let this product sit on my face for about 10 minutes during which there was a bit of a burning tingle in some sensitive areas (upper lip, underneath eyes) but nothing painful or alarming. Keep in mind this product does clearly state to apply lightly on sensitive skin because it is an aggressive deep cleansing product. When I rinsed the Stripper off I was pleasantly surprised at how easily it rinsed away with warm water. Many times masks dry and are difficult to get off. The result once I dried my face was that my skin felt taut and very very clean. I did feel the need to follow up immediately with a moisturizer, but that bit of information was also included in the instructions. Overall I can see this being a good product for a weekly deep cleaning that would help clear pores and prevent blackheads.
Muddy Honey is designed to rejuvenate and moisturize skin. Personally, I think this would make a great all-over skin product. It smells delicious and feels great the minute it touches your skin. As someone who is experiencing winter-dry itchiness and irritation I really wanted a bigger sample. I could easily see myself slathering on Muddy Honey and lounging in the empty bathtub for half an hour. (Because I don't have a sauna obviously!) When I rinsed off the Muddy Honey my face felt smooth and soft, the redness and flaking from dryness were gone and my skin actually felt less tight and irritated. I didn't get a sample of the followup Honey Honey Body Creme but I can imagine it's just as indulgent.
Based on these two products as well as the great selling points related to Perfectly Posh I can say that it's worth giving the company a try.
