We all know that our bodies need exercise. There are tons of exercise and fitness programs, DVD's heck even a cable television channel to help us get a bit of movement in our days.
If you're like me and tend to fixate on a specific area for a period of time before panicking over a different piece of flabbiness I've got the answer for you! Variety is the spice of life and SparkPeople offers a daily email which includes a fitness tip. I've gotten great exercises that I can do at my desk, some that only take a few minutes and some which are whole body workouts.
I love checking my email and seeing a new tip or a new way to improve an old exercise every day. The best thing about the SparkPeople Exercise of the Day email is that it's always a surprise. I got one yesterday about how to modify lunges for knee pain. See, I'd just assumed that lunges were out for me due to a spongy knee (yeah, when did that happen? My knee creaks and cracks and makes a squishy sound then it just plain hurts!) but now I can add lunges back into my workout. My point is that there's a little something for everyone in these daily emails- and they're free!
Another thing that I enjoy is that some of the exercises are specifically for problems that women face. Flabby triceps are a big complaint for me. I feel like I'm waving flags when I move my arms. I got an email a few weeks ago specifically for toning up this area and it included not just one exercise but three.
If you're having trouble settling on a workout or you find that your workout doesn't hit all the areas you're interested in improving or if you just want a bit of variety check out SparkPeople and sign up for the Exercise of the Day email.
